About Owen R. Hopkins Branch

History

The Owen R. Hopkins Public Library is named after a local geologist and former president of the Corpus Christi Geology Society. Through Mr. Hopkins' work, the library has a display of fossils and a mural of local animals during the Ice Age. The Hopkins Library serves the northwest side of Corpus Christi, primarily the Tuloso-Midway and Calallen ISD areas of the city, as well as Robstown, Odem, Sinton and other areas outside the city limits.
