AEP to Temporarily Close Road Shoulders on I-37 Beginning December 4

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – AEP Texas crews will temporarily close road shoulders on I-37 from Leopard Street to Corn Products Road from December 4 through December 14.

The closures, which are associated with utility work on a power line near I-37, will take place in 15-minute increments between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. All work on the project is weather permitting.

Drivers can expect to see construction signage and flaggers near the worksite, where AEP crews will be using utility trucks and other heavy equipment.

Safety is a top priority, so motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted signs.
