Alameda Street Project Update

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – On Friday, February 7, the Alameda Street Project transitions to a new construction phase. The latest traffic control plan will close the northbound lanes on South Alameda Street from Louisiana Avenue to Texan Trail.

The closure is expected to remain in effect until May 2025.

During this project phase, traffic will be redirected to two-way, single-lane traffic within the southbound lanes.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted signs.

Access to all businesses in the work area will be maintained throughout construction.

The full project's expected completion is February 2026.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
