City Announces Opening of West Guth Dog Park

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce the completion of the West Guth Dog Park, a highly anticipated amenity to West Guth Park, located at 9700 Up River Road. The dog park will open on Saturday, February 1, at 7:30 a.m.

All dog owners are invited to bring their furry friends to the dog park, where they can run leash-free within the gated facility and play in this unique park designed just for them. The park offers a small and large dog section, amenities like A-frame climbers, a decorative fire hydrant, bone-shaped climber, along with a gazebo and bench for park visitors.

The hours of operation are Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Wednesday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The dog park is closed on Mondays for maintenance. This $527,000 project is the City’s fourth dog park and joins the Bill Witt Dog Park, located at 6869 Yorktown Boulevard, the Vishal Bhagat Dog Park at The Water’s Edge, located at 402 S. Shoreline Boulevard, and the Sherwood Dog Park, located at 4314 Sherwood Drive.
