City to Remove Weight Sensors on Ocean Drive between Baycliff Drive and Born Street

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX—On June 18, the City of Corpus Christi will remove vehicle weight sensors on Ocean Drive between Baycliff Drive and Born Street. This project will support the Ocean Drive Sustainability Program, the City’s 10-year initiative to preserve this critical corridor.

The removal process will begin on the northbound lane of Ocean Drive from Baycliff Drive to Born Drive and then continue on the southbound lane from Born Street to Baycliff Drive. City staff will intermittently conduct single-lane closures at eight locations between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Closures are expected to take 30 minutes at each location.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted signs.
