Morgan Avenue Overnight Maintenance Starting Wednesday

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – At today’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting, Mayor Paulette Guajardo and the City Council awarded a $12.2 million contract to H&S Constructors, Inc., of Corpus Christi, for improvements to the Mary Rhodes Pipeline.

The improvements are for two pipeline booster stations in Bloomington and Woodsboro, respectively. They will include replacing motor and pump components, installing new generators, and upgrading heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

The Mary Rhodes Pipeline carries water from Lake Texana to the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant.

“The Mary Rhodes Pipeline is a critical lifeline for our city’s water supply, and these improvements are vital to ensuring that we continue delivering safe and reliable water to our residents,” said Mayor Paulette Guajardo. “This investment reflects our commitment to maintaining and upgrading our essential infrastructure for the long-term sustainability of Corpus Christi.”

Construction is anticipated to begin in November, with completion projected for early 2026.
