Corpus Christi Fire Department Assists with Multiple Brush Fires
Second Day of Elevated Fire Risk Forecasted
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Corpus Christi Fire Department (CCFD) and regional emergency response partners responded to multiple brush fires yesterday across Nueces County.
No active fires are reported, and Fire Department crews are monitoring several fire locations for possible hot spots.
Sunny and dry conditions are expected across South Texas today, with northerly winds in the 10-15 mph range and a few gusts near 20 mph. This, combined with low afternoon relative humidity, creates an elevated risk of fires. Residents are urged to exercise care regarding all outdoor activities that could inadvertently cause wildfires.
The City of Corpus Christi will continue monitoring conditions and provide updates as necessary.
