CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Corpus Christi Table Tennis Group, will host a 20th Anniversary Celebration to honor the group's contributions to the table tennis community.
Founded by Doc Kennedy, the organization has played a significant role in promoting and supporting the sport of table tennis. This sport offers mental and physical health benefits for individuals of all ages. Currently, the group has over fifty participants, ranging in age from 25 to 94 years, who have participated in state and national competitions. The organization also includes two active national gold medalists.
The celebration will feature open table tennis play from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., during which the public can participate or observe a demonstration. Program remarks and player recognition will start at 2:00 p.m.
