Art, Music, and Vendors in Downtown Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Downtown Management District will host its First Friday Artwalk on Friday, March 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This event supports local artists, musicians, and vendors.

 The City’s traffic plan includes closing the Twigg Street and North Port Avenue/Nueces Bay exits. These exits will be closed by 11:00 a.m. on Friday and reopen by 1:00 a.m. on Saturday. Visitors are strongly encouraged to plan to arrive early downtown to avoid anticipated delays related to traffic, street closures, and parking.

Traffic Impacts:

·         There are parking restrictions along Chaparral Street, Starr Street, Taylor Street, Peoples Street, and Lomax Street. Enforcement begins at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7. Street closures along Chaparral Street, Starr Street, Taylor Street, Peoples, and Lomax Street.

·         Closure of Twigg Street exit ramp (Friday, March 7, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. on Saturday).

·         Motorists traveling along the eastbound Martin Luther King frontage road are advised to use Port Avenue to access downtown.

·         Motorists traveling along Southbound US 181 are advised to utilize the Up River Road exit and turnaround to access downtown via eastbound IH 37.

·         Motorists traveling along northbound SH 286 can utilize the Agnes Street exit to access downtown.
