Harbor Bridge Project to Affect Traffic Route to City Hall
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Beginning Monday, February 3, at 9:00 p.m., the Harbor Bridge Project will close the northbound SH 286 connections to US 181, the Bayfront area, and Antelope Street to the Uptown area.
Motorists heading northbound on SH 286 to Antelope Street for the Uptown area and to City Hall will have to take a detour to the connector ramp for northbound IH 37, exit at Nueces Bay Boulevard, make a U-turn, and remain on the frontage road to continue towards the Staples Street intersection.
Motorists can avoid the detour by taking the Laredo Street /Agnes Street exit to Staples Street and turning left on Staples Street to get to City Hall.
The SH 286 lane closure is scheduled to continue through Saturday, February 8.
Safety remains a top priority, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted signs.
