Red Flag Warning in Effect Today and Saturday
Due to Critical Fire Weather Conditions
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the area until 9:00 p.m. tonight and from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are forecasted. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can lead to a higher-than-normal chance of fires.
We ask our community to please take these precautions:
- Avoid Recreational Fires: Refrain from using fire pits, chimineas, or other recreational fire sources. (Note: Corpus Christi is under a burn ban for recreational fires through March 23, 2025)
- Stay Informed: Monitor local advisories and weather updates.
- Report Fire Incidents: Immediately report any unattended fires or hazardous conditions to the nearest fire department or law enforcement office.
- Protect Your Property: Clear dry brush and flammable materials around your home.
