Temporary Closure of Neyland Public Library

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Anita & W.T. Neyland Public Library, located at 1230 Carmel Parkway in Council District 2, will close for construction from Monday, May 20, through Saturday, May 25. The public restrooms will be demolished during the project's initial phase, leading to significant dust and noise.  

On February 13, the City Council approved a construction contract with NorthStar Elite Construction & Consulting to improve the Neyland Library. The enhancements include replacing corroded iron sanitary sewer lines, repairing the rear building exterior wall, renovating the public restrooms, and installing a fire exit ramp from the children’s area.  

During the Neyland Public Library’s construction, patrons are encouraged to visit the La Retama Central Library at 805 Comanche in Council District 1, the closest library to the Neyland Library.
