Timbergate Drive Reconstruction Now Underway

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The City of Corpus Christi has started street reconstruction work on Timbergate Drive between South Staples Street and Snowgoose Drive, as part of a voter-approved project from Bond 2022. Max Underground Construction is the contractor for the $4.73 million project.

The work will completely reconstruct the existing roadway with new asphalt pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and 8-foot multi-use path. The project includes ADA-compliant curb ramps, related signage, pavement markings and upgraded streetlights. Additionally, related utility and drainage improvements are included. The estimated completion date is July 2026.

Beginning Monday, April 14, Timbergate Drive between South Staples Street and Snowgoose Drive will be one-way westbound. Roadway closures are in effect for the eastbound lanes.

A detailed map is attached to represent the road work and traffic flow adjustments visually.

Safety remains a top priority, and motorists traveling through this area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone. Detours will be clearly marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.

The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve streets and infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
