Vector Control Mosquito Treatment Schedule and Routes
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX— Vector Control actively manages mosquito populations year-round, increasing efforts from March to November when rain and standing water create ideal conditions for mosquito hatching.
After the rain last week, Vector Control treated the entire City for mosquitoes and has been monitoring the number of mosquitoes this week. Due to the very low number of mosquitoes trapped, Vector Control will primarily focus on treating mosquito larvae next week. Vector Control will continue to monitor the mosquito population in our city and will resume applying adulticiding if the mosquito population increases.
Vector Control will apply larvicides to areas likely to collect stagnant water following rainfall. Vector Control avoids spraying during inclement weather, high winds, or when people are nearby outdoors.
Below is the schedule from Monday, April 7, to Friday, April 11.
Date | Adult Mosquito Spray Zone | Mosquito Larvae Control Zone |
Monday, April 7 | Monitoring Mosquito Numbers | 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 |
Tuesday, April 8 | Monitoring Mosquito Numbers | 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14 |
Wednesday, April 9 | Monitoring Mosquito Numbers | 12, 13, 17, 19, 20 |

Friday, April 11 | Monitoring Mosquito Numbers | 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 |
The route schedule may change due to bad weather and high wind speeds. It can also be adjusted based on the mosquito population or if a vector-borne disease is identified in the city. See the Mosquito Spray Route Map below.
