Work Set to Begin on Whitecap Boulevard Bridge and Gypsy Street Bridge
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Beginning Monday, April 28, crews will begin work on two bridges on North Padre Island. The projects include improvements to the Whitecap Boulevard bridge near Cruiser Street and the Gypsy Street bridge near Bounty Avenue.
Construction will require varying lane closures. Work is expected to be completed by June 12.
A detailed map is attached to provide a visual overview of the road work and traffic flow adjustments.
Safety remains a top priority, and motorists traveling through this area must follow the posted detour signs to navigate the construction zone. Detours will be marked to ensure minimal disruption and maintain traffic flow.
The City of Corpus Christi is committed to maintaining and improving streets and infrastructure for all residents, businesses, and visitors.
The City would also like to thank Flour Bluff ISD for their partnership in allowing the use of district property for equipment staging during construction. Their support helps ensure the smooth progress of these important improvements.
