Yorktown Boulevard Construction Moves Forward
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – On Monday, December 9, the Yorktown Boulevard construction project will begin implementing Traffic Control Plans for Phases 1A and 1C. This will require significant traffic changes, all of which will be in place by Friday, December 20.
The westbound lanes of Yorktown Boulevard will be closed from Geiger Road to the Oso Creek Mud Bridge. Traffic will be redirected to the eastbound lanes, allowing two-way traffic.
The entire project's expected completion is in the fall of 2027.
A detailed map is attached to represent the road work and traffic flow adjustments visually.
Safety remains a top priority, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays, remain aware of the work zone, and follow posted signs.
The City of Corpus Christi is committed to projects that maintain or improve streets and infrastructure for every city resident, business, and visitor.
