Animal Care Services
Become A Rescue Partner
As an open-admission municipal facility, we work with local, regional, and national animal welfare organizations to promote and provide placement for ACS pets. We are continuously working to grow our network of partners. We welcome 501(c)3 animal welfare organizations to apply to join our lifesaving efforts. Please read through our ACS rescue handbook and contact ccacsrescues@cctexas.com if you have any questions.
Local Animal Rescue Partners
Like many municipal animal care facilities, CCACS humanely euthanizes animals that are not suitable for adoption and those that have been in the shelter for a longer period of time. For this reason, it is important that individuals looking to surrender their pet or bring in strays, also consider other shelters in the area. Below is a list of local, no-kill shelters for residents to consider.
County Animal Control
Corpus Christi Animal Care Services regularly coordinates with Nueces County Animal Control. Nueces County Animal Control provides some services not offered at CCACS, such as the rental of small and large traps.
