Conflict Disclosures

Requirements for Public Officials and Vendors

During the 2015 Legislative Session, H.B. 23 passed and became effective September 1, 2015. H.B. 23 requires that certain City officials file with the City Secretary a "Conflict Disclosure Statement" if they receive taxable income or certain gifts from any person or business that contracts with the City or is considering doing business with the City. The form must be filed within seven (7) business days of becoming aware of the conflict.

This section will contain a copy of any active Conflict of Interest Questionnaires that have been filed within the last 3 years.  This questionnaire is filed in accordance with Chapter 176, Local Government Code, by an official who has an employment or other business relationship as defined by Section 176.001(1-a) with a vendor and the vendor meets requirements under Section 176.003. By law this questionnaire must be filed with the records administrator of the local governmental entity not later than the 7th business day after the date the official becomes aware of facts that require the statement to be filed.  See Section 176.006, Local Government Code.
