Listening Session

Proposed Drought Contingency Plan (DCP) Updates

The City of Corpus Christi and Corpus Christi Water invite the community to a DCP Listening Session on the proposed Drought Contingency Plan (DCP) updates. This session will occur on Wednesday, February 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers and will be live-streamed on the City of Corpus Christi's YouTube channel.

The program will begin with a short presentation of the updates to the DCP, outlining key changes aimed at enhancing water conservation efforts.

On Tuesday, January 28, the City Council approved the first reading of the updated DCP. The second and final vote will be held on the upcoming City Council meeting on February 11. If approved, the DCP updates will take effect on February 12.

The DCP Listening Session will provide residents with an additional form of communication prior to the upcoming DCP vote taking place on February 11. The event will begin with a short presentation from Drew Molly, Corpus Christi Water’s Chief Operating Officer, followed by residents who have registered for public comment. Each resident will have between one and three minutes to share feedback, contingent on the time available and number of people who sign up to speak.

Speakers can sign in at the kiosk in the City Hall Atrium. The sign-in period will be available between 3:00 and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5.
