Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

Mission and Vision

The City of Corpus Christi WIC Program is your family’s partner in health from the moment you find out you’re pregnant until your child turns 5 years old! WIC benefits are for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants, and children up to their 5th birthday.

The WIC program offers personalized nutrition and breastfeeding support, helps you buy the foods that you and your children need to stay healthy, and helps you find other health-care services near you.

Come to Texas WIC to get the services, support and inspiration you need to eat right, have a healthy pregnancy, breastfeed successfully, and raise amazing kids!

How to Become a WIC participant

You can start your application online by clicking the link below! Or you can always call us at our direct line at (361) 826-1355.

Feel free to stop by our clinic to apply in person! We are located at 1702 Horne Road. Our hours of operation are from 8am – 6pm Monday through Thursday (closed from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. for lunch) and Fridays from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

WIC Eligibility Requirements

If you are actively on Medicaid, TANF, or SNAP, you are automatically approved for WIC benefits. If you don’t qualify for these programs, you may still qualify for WIC by meeting the income guidelines for your household. You can find the income guidelines on the website linked below.

You must live in Texas. You do not have to be a U.S. citizen to be part of the WIC program.

Your WIC appointment includes a visit with a nutrition expert to help determine your eligibility. WIC will measure, weigh and check the iron level of each family member applying for WIC and answer any questions you may have about health and nutrition.
