Minors

A minor is a person who is under 21 years of age. By law all minors who are charged with an alcohol related offense must appear in Court to enter a plea in open court.  

Minors who are over the age of 16 years do not need to appear with a parent or legal guardian.  

Violations issued to minors cannot be addressed or paid by mail, email, or online. They must appear within the Appearance Date which is 14 days from the date of the violation. Minors who are over the age of 16 years and fail to appear to address their violations may have warrants issued for their arrest.

Please note that a payment will result in a judgment and conviction which will be reported to the Texas Department of Public safety and be placed on your driving record or criminal history, if applicable.

Court Location

Municipal Court is open to the public from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours on Thursdays from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. The Municipal Court encourages the public to resolve their case online, by email, mail, or by phone.
