Gulf Beaches
Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation partners with Nueces County and the State of Texas to manage Gulf Beaches. Mustang Island State Park, North Packery Beach, Whitecap Beach, and Padre Balli Park offer endless recreational opportunities for visitors and locals.
Mustang Island State Park
Mustang Island State Park is managed by Texas Parks and Wildlife. It boasts over five miles of coastline, campsites, and a paddling trail. Children can visit the beach and park for free while adults are charged a small daily entrance fee.
North Packery Beach
North Packery Beach (also called J.P. Luby Beach) is a popular spot for water sports like surfing and kiteboarding.
Whitecap Beach
Whitecap Beach is located at the end of the Whitecap road on North Padre Island. It features a pedestrians only shoreline and an area for cars.
Padre Balli Beach
Padre Balli Park is a 374.5 acre park managed by Nueces County. The beach is located on North Padre Island and features over a mile of beachfront. Nueces County manages a campsite with spots for RVs and tents. View their Campsite Reservation website linked below for more information.
