Special Attraction Parks

The iconic Watergarden reopened in 2024 after a seven-year hiatus due to damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. The extensive renovations added to the circular structure of water fountains now features a spectacular visual LED light display for Corpus Christi’s residents and visitors to enjoy.

North Beach History Plaza is a free public outdoor educational exhibit dedicated to the history of North Beach in Corpus Christi, Texas. Through 16 colorful panels, the story of North Beach is told through images and text. This was a public-private partnership initiative, funded with Local HOT funds and accomplished through a collaboration of the volunteers at North Beach Community Association, the staff of the Science and History Museum, and the members of the Nueces County Historical Commission.
