Senior Safety
The Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit conducts presentations to any senior environment, which includes senior centers, nursing homes, senior day care, senior housing, church groups, civic groups and any other senior group, concerning senior safety, crime prevention and scams. The Police Department also participates in the Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS). A senior aged 55 or older can become part of this program, which enables them to volunteer at the Police Department.
