The public was invited on several occasions to provide input regarding what types of features and qualities they desire for Commodore Park. A survey and two community engagement opportunities were held in August 2023. In addition, a community input session was held in March 2024. The information gathered will be used by our design team to create the initial concepts for the park.
Corpus Christi Marina Master Plan
The City of Corpus Christi is developing a master plan for the Municipal Marina, including the Shoreline Boulevard waterfront walkway at the seawall. An online survey was taken, and public input was gathered from November 6 through November 17, 2023. The information that was gathered from community responses will be used by our planning team to formulate a master plan for this area. The master planning process will continue through 2024. Progress will be posted over the coming months on this webpage for further community feedback.

Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park (SVMP) is located on the City’s bayfront adjacent to the Art Center and Marina and is approximately 2.7 Acres. The park is a place of honor and reflection to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in military service; provides natural beauty and peace for quiet meditation.
Future project plans include the design of a memorial monument for Sherrill Park to honor our Veterans. Additionally, this project will include the design for a pad that will display a donated Bell Helicopter.
